Here at Shawhead Shepherds we work closely with our local vet who visits regularly to ensure that our dogs are in the best of health.

We also help people to rehome adult shepherds and we help rescue and rehabilitate.

When our girls are lined we scan to make sure all is how it should be with her pregnancy (we are the best midwives!), providing as much or as little assistance our girls require right through gestation to whelping.

All our matings are with our resident stud dogs and our boys like the natural approach so we have as little intervention as possible.

Our puppies are started on a worming program at 2 weeks old. They are microchiped at 7 weeks and vet checked before leaving for new homes. They are accustomed to many household noises and are introduced to grooming and nail clips at a young age making the process second nature and not traumatic.

We have amazing testimonies and love to get updates on puppies as they grow. Temperament & obedience excels through our puppies. We also offer follow up advice if required.
